It was an unexpected surprise for the Year 7 students. They were looking forward to laidback activities and strolls along the beach.
What they got instead were activities which challenged their endurance. During the Study Tour to Outward Bound Malaysia Lumut (OBML), the Year 7s had to test their strength in net climbing, rapple down a steep hill, prepare their own food and build their own raft with poles, ropes and barrels.
We are proud to say that they sailed through them all without any protest. They even found the time to visit a school for special children to play, dance and carry out fun activities with the children.
After five days of roughing it out, our Year 7s were brought back to MIGS. It was indeed a refreshing outdoor education experience for our youngest Senior School students.
