Green was the theme of the day for our Children’s Day celebration. Students got the chance to participate in a fun-filled day which commenced from the minute they walked in to school.
After admiring the many green outfits each other wore, students and teachers got down to somedancing. A few classics and even a Bollywood song were played and boy, were there plenty of exuberant dancers on the court.
Students then went on to play a pass-the- ball game against their teachers. It was frantic as students and teachers tried to pass their ball as quickly as they can to their teammates.
Next, there were basketball and football matches played, which also saw lots of raucous cheering and laughter.
The surprise was when a huge cake was rolled out – and the students realised that it was not a cake at all but many chocolate bars put together to resemble a cake. A loud greeting went up at this. And the cake was indeed delicious!
Students later had lots of fun at the photo booth trying on different head gear, masks and a variety of other props to have their pictures taken.
It was a splendid Children’s Day celebration for all Mutiarans.
