The Year 2 Assembly held on 6th March 2018 in the school hall was called “Forest Rhapsody”. First we had to audition for our roles. The roles were rabbits, butterflies, monkeys, birds, frogs, jaguars, tribal children and narrators.
I was selected for the role of a narrator. A narrator is someone who tells the story. For the play, we had to learn our song called “Tell me Why”. Ms. Stella trained us to sing melodiously and we had to practice many times in our class and in the hall. Then we had to write our own dialogues. We formed groups to decide on our costumes.
A few days later it was the day of the drama performance. We had to wear our costumes to school and bring our school uniform in our bags. I was nervous. We went to the Workshop Room to put on some makeup. All the Year 2 parents came to watch our assembly.
I was happy to see my mummy there. After the show I felt happy as I did my best. Our parents were thrilled to see us perform with such brilliance and radiance.- By Tarisa Fathiyyah, Year 2S
