In Key Stage 2 the prime focus is to provide continuity and progression in all aspects of learning. Adapting the National Curriculum for England, MIGS incorporates opportunities for students to approach topics of learning from both international and local contexts. Cross-curricular approaches that promote concept building are a part of the teaching and learning. At this stage, students are encouraged to progress holistically with 21st century learning skills.
These include skills in technology, independent learning and investigation, collaboration and project-based learning that are embedded in the teaching and learning process. Students sit for the Standard Attainment Tests (SATs) in Year 6, a formal testing which is externally marked.
Key Stage 2 is part of Junior School.
