The layering strength and unusual beauty of the pearl

The working title for this design is ‘Strength of the Pearl’, offering this

image a natural, nurturing and vibrant theme with a friendly and

welcoming appeal. This emblem is inspired by the strength and

unusual beauty created by the unique arrangement of layers that make

up the precious pearl.

 Symbolic Platform

It is essential that the visual aesthetic of this logo bear close

resemblance to the strong, nurturing elements of the guiding hand of

Mother Earth in the creation of land, sea and sky. The choice of the

pearl as a base for this icon is a reflection of that magical process.

Cherished as symbols of purity and perfection, elegance and

affluence, pearls are unusual gems – created inside living animals

called molluscs. Growing naturally into a wide range of shapes, sizes

and colours, pearls have gained a place of enchantment and admiration

in human history.

One of the most distinctive features of the pearl is the way it seems to

glow from within. Like an iridescent lustre of the shimmer seen on a

soap bubble, it refracts light and showcases the breathtaking colours

of a rainbow.

A Timeless Appeal

Design Elements and Artistic Aesthetics

‘The Strength of the Pearl’ portrays a core purity of white to an

expansion of earthy tones before bursting into the exciting vibrancy

of the four primer colours that form all the colours found in this world.

The white space circling this core and burst of outward colours alludes to a

protective, nurturing cover of the Mutiara International Grammar School

over the development of its students. This icon is then set on a strong stamp

of deep icy blue and solid red denoting a base of quiet strength and fiery

passion respectively to develop the many talents of its students.

A banner with the lettering ‘magarita orientaris’ smoothly alludes to a

Latin phrase stating that this pearl of education resides in the beautiful

Orient and is reflective of the richness of the multiracial, multicultural

and multilingual region encompassing various countries in the world.

Even though numerous elements have been blended to create this

icon, it maintains the powerful, cohesive and timelessly simplistic quality

associated with the best in quality education. Versatile in all scales,

applications and media types, ‘the Strength of the Pearl’ will brand

Mutiara International Grammar School respectfully within the

educational fraternity.
