Under the hot sun and with a cheering crowd to spur us on, our Sports Day was kicked off on 23 rd March with a highly-exciting display of gymnastic routines from the four Sports Houses. Months of practice and preparation came to fruition as students showcased artistic and innovative moves to get the momentum going.
Then came the races, the long jumps, the javelin throws and the shot puts. As students put their skills to the test on the track and on the field, others jumped up and down to urge their friends and favourite Sports House forward.
Despite the heat beating down on everyone, it was a highly excitable day as one event came after the other and students were awarded ribbons and medals with each win.
This year’s system allowed all students to participate in every field event and most of the track events, resulting in breaking of school records and several pleasant surprises.
