Our Year 6 students recently enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Kevin Build, where they stepped into the world of woodworking through a fun and interactive hands-on workshop.
Throughout the session, students learned the fundamentals of woodwork, including how to use basic tools safely, measure accurately, cut materials, assemble components and transform their ideas into creative wooden projects. Under expert guidance, they gained valuable practical experience while building confidence with every step.
Beyond developing technical skills, the workshop encouraged students to strengthen essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, patience and perseverance. Working together to complete their projects allowed them to experience the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands while learning the importance of precision and collaboration.

At Mutiara International Grammar School (MIGS), we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Experiences like this inspire curiosity, creativity and independent thinking while helping students develop practical skills that will benefit them throughout their education and beyond.
We are proud of our Year 6 students for embracing this opportunity with enthusiasm, creativity and determination. It was truly a memorable day filled with learning, building and discovering new talents.
