Mutiara International Grammar School has a dedicated room for students who are unwell or injured. The room, known as a sick bay, is furnished with extensive first aid supplies, a bed, a sink and comfortable seating for students. It is close to bathroom facilities and is easily accessible for stretchers and an ambulance, if required.
Students who are unwell or injured during school hours should alert their teachers immediately to their condition. Necessary assistance will presently be provided by trained First Aiders in the sick bay.
All medication administered are strictly external. If a student requests for internal medication, approval will first be sought from parents before it is administered.
Parents will be informed should the student be required to go home or if a doctor has to be consulted for further treatment. It is best for the student to remain at home if he/she is unwell in the morning.
