Coronavirus - Alert, Aware but not Alarmed
15/01/2021 - Mental & Health Workshop
The prolonged lock-down and restrictions during Covid-19 might cause significant risk to mental and emotional health of students and they could develop negative implications to academic performance and social emotional development.
To play a supportive role to provide mental health and emotional well-being support for students, the 1-hour Mental Health Workshop led by our school counselor, Esther Loh helped to enhance the mental health literacy of students, to understand what constitutes a mentally healthy person and helped them to explore their own emotions.
Students gain the knowledge and attitudes to know when and where to get help and develop coping skills necessary to overcome stress and anxiety.
