Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years relevant teaching experience is preferred; experience gained

  • Knowledge and experience of Cambridge Education and/or the National
    Curriculum
  • Up to at least two sessions of CIE face to face subject training would be an
    advantage
  • Successful evidence of differentiated lesson delivery to students with a wide range
    of needs
  • Successful experience of managing an effective classroom environment to support
    pupil learning and positive behavior and improving student attainment
  • Proven ability to use ICT and new technologies to enhance the quality of teaching

Responsibilities

  • To teach according to the timetable for the current year, ensuring that lessons are
    planned, ordered and effective
  • To be aware of the need to differentiate work and challenges according to the
    ability of the pupils, whilst maintaining high expectations of all and taking full
    account of any linguistic or other special needs
  • To work as part of a team, in harmony with and for the furtherance of the School’s

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Facilities and Maintenance supervisor who will be responsible to manage and oversee the school building and facilities to safeguard and promote the welfare of all students and employees in our care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that school buildings, grounds, facilities and equipment comply with the relevant health and safety standards. This includes liaising with local authorities, police and fire and rescue department.
  • Identify, plan, budget, schedule and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance of school buildings and grounds including equipment.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of school cleaning/maintenance personnel including external contractors for maintenance work and other services such as pest control, garbage removal, hygiene facilities and the like.
  • Periodical inspection of school buildings and facilities to determine problems and necessary maintenance work.
  • Identify potential problems/hazards and take remedial action immediately.
  • Manage the setting up of facilities and venues for events, school activities or exams.
  • Manage and monitor the progress of projects (e.g. renovations).
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in M&E/Engineering/Building related discipline. Possess a chargeman A4 certificate from Energy Commission Malaysia.
  • Minimum 4 years of significant practice in building maintenance and repair work with good expertise of building operation

Key Objective

The Executive of Sales works closely with the Principal and Head of Operations and will assist to contribute to the development of the School’s sales and marketing campaigns & strategies to support the School’s growth objectives. This role will act as brand custodian of the school’s voice for the external prospective community.

Main role:

  • Develop and implement multi-channel tactical sales and marketing campaigns, generate quality admission enquiries from multiple target segments
  • Represent the School at education events and assist with organizing events and campus visits
  • Responsible to grow and maintain relationship which will see increased enrolments for the School

Job responsibilities: –

  • Work with the School’s Principal, Head of Operations and rest of the marketing & admission team members to develop a marketing plan to support the school’s growth, identifying new markets focused to achieve student recruitment targets and close enrollments
  • Attend to sales/admission enquiries, follow-up enquiries and generate leads and make conversion
  • Regularly monitor competitors’ performance, identify target markets and look for ways that are relevant and engaging to market school’s continuous development programs.
  • Assist in managing the marketing and promotional activities for the school (including events covering digital marketing, advertising on social media platforms, PR, sponsorship, etc which focuses on prospective parents/students.
  • Identify and execute relevant community-based initiatives that build effective relationships and establish close working partnerships with external stakeholders including agents and other education institutions to generate new enquiries.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate, organize and promote admission events (Open Days, School Fairs, Exhibitions, etc).
  • Attract & recruit both locally and international students and represent school at educational exhibitions, roadshows, open day events. meeting potential parents/students face to face and delivering presentations to sell the prospects of studying in MIGS
  • Organize incoming visits from parents/students (individual or groups), liaising with relevant departments and conducting school campus tours where appropriate.
  • Keep track of all enquiries in systematic and organized manner and in relevant database
  • Provide reports on leads, enquiries and sales in tracking recruitment numbers/performance.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in marketing, mass communication or business related discipline
  • Preferably 3 years working experience in private education sales environment, ideally from international schools
  • Possess good command of the English and Bahasa Malaysia language both spoken and written. A proficiency in other languages such as Mandarin, Korean, Japanese will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a group, sharing ideas and problem solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills such as time management and prioritizing and telephone sales
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities
  • Able to work and travel on weekends when necessary

Key Objectives

The Executive, Marketing and Communications contributes to the development of Mutiara International Grammar School’s (“MIGS”) Marketing Strategy and leads the execution of a marketing plan which supports the School’s growth agenda. He/She is responsible for implementing a marketing communication campaign (advertisements, promotions and public relations) to increase the visibility of MIGS, generate admission inquiries and ensure maximum student retention.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, develop and implement the Marketing Strategy and Marketing plan for the School.
  • Prepare and deliver business review presentations as appropriate to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) that promotes and meets business goals of the School
  • Serve as the School’s primary media contact and fosters positive relationships with media personnel to enhance the School visibility and image.
  • Build relationships for all advertisements, advertorials and publicity featuring MIGS in print, broadcast and online media.
  • Lead the organisation of all School marketing events.
  • Manage and maintain the archive of market-related activities.
  • Prepare annual marketing and communication budget for annual marketing plan and monitor expenditure

Requirements

  • Possess degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business studies or its equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years strong marketing experience preferably from the education sector. Digital marketing experience is highly desirable
  • Proven success in writing professional web and marketing copy, with the ability to produce compelling and optimized copy while maintaining brand messaging, persuasiveness and readability
  • Proven listening, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Creative thinker with proven campaign experience
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia and the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise way, both verbally and in writing
  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data and research quickly – and distil the most important/relevant information to inform unique and innovative new content and creation ideas
  • Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills, meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to multitask
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
